Tongariro National Park, NZ - April 11th

Today we've gone 1 hour and 15 minutes south of Taupo (and south of Lake Taupo) to Tangariro National Park. Its full of volcanoes and absolutely stunning!







We're taking the ski lift from Whakapapa (Iwikau Village) up Mt Ruapehu (2,797m)


Lord of the Rings trivia - this is the area where they filmed Mt Doom & Mordor.






Looks like Mt Fuji but no, its Mt Ngauruhoe (2,287m)
