Rockwiz
We went to see 'Rockwiz' today in Sydney on the national tour. Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis, Rockwiz Orchestra, Dugald & guests - Adalita from Magic Dirt & John Paul Young sang 'Love is in the Air'. Plus, there was a third special guest - Steve Kilbey of The Church sang Smashing Pumpkins' 'Disarm' during a break.

Brian Nankervis spends the firrst 30 minutes selecting the contestants -- 18 people from the audience got to compete for the top 4 spots!
Since there were 1,600 people in the audience, it was the cards under the seats to get to the 18 finalists...

Adalita from Magic Dirt (Geelong band) is the first mystery guest
John Paul Young sings "Love is in the Air" - WOW!!
Steve Kilbey (of the Church) performs Smashing Pumpkins 'Disarm' during one of the breaks
They tried a new segment - Contestant Karaoke - and this guy sang Jimmy Barnes 'Khe Sahn' - oh my god - he was SO good!
After the closing duet, we got a trio performance
And for an encore, each member of the Rockwiz Orchestra, then Brian, then Julia sang a verse of Tom Waits' Come on Up To the House... very cool.

They are knocking down the building next door...at least I think it is only the one next door, sure its safe and all, lots of crumbling, crunching and weird sounds though
They haven't quite gotten a hang of the roundabout thing yet
The city from the Marina area, they like their flags big, not the biggest in the world, but still pretty big!

CE Teambuilding
We had a teambuilding afternoon at Coogee - human slingshotting, walking on planks, crossing memory cards, logic puzzles... all for paper money to buy supplies in the Bunnings bush store. We bought materials to build 'houses'
My gold team didn't win... but it looked better than this in the end!
After dinner there was more music and games and even some karaoke... Don, Susan, Michael & Nick were willing participants...
