Nan Tien Temple

We drove an hour south of Sydney to Wollongong to have dinner with our friends Biliana and Dusko. We went down early to check out the Buddhist Temple. Apparently they practice Humanistic Buddhism. A Humanistic Buddhist is someone who transforms his or her given human character to express the same deep truths and ideals of Buddha, in order to improve the wellbeing of our families, our culture and our nation.

Mike likes the temple because there's no meat allowed anywhere on the temple grounds. We got to eat vegie spring rolls and dumplings and then walked around the grounds. It was beautiful. You can take classes and go on retreats there - very relaxing!
