Tintagel Castle has ruins from an old Roman settlement, though the remains of the castle that stand today date from the 13th century. This is the castle linked to the legend of King Arthur and its thought that all of the stories about King Arthur were written over the years by a king who ruled from this castle. Plus, the cave underneath is called Merlin's Cave which is really cool.
